Hi,
This used to be true but since the last updates from Gnome, evolution hidden
directory is under /home/user/.config, and for unknow reason Contacts doesn't
keep the informations anymore, from one session to next session.
In this regard I would be very grateful if some fine method could be found
and provided to me, to make it work normally again. I have about 120
contacts, and had to import it all to Evolution to be able to use them. I
don't like that because Evolution is heavy, greedy in space with many
depends, and I don't use if for anything else : my calendar is Mozilla
Sunbird and my mail client is Sylpheed.
Contacts is the only adressbook I have appreciated in years.
Regards,
Mélodie

Post by George FragosContacts works with the same data base as the Evolution mail package that
Gnome uses.
/home/{user}/.evolution/addressbook/local/system/addressbook.db

I often use it. But I got a problem for my data. Where does Contacts
save my data just in case updating my OS.
Please let me know of it.
Thank you.

Post by George FragosI run Ubuntu 10.10 and it's on Evolution 2.30.3. I would think that you
could just establish links in the old folder to the new location and things
would work.

Isn't that a problem, given the fact that in version 2.32 evolution
has moved its configuration files to /home/{user}/.config/evolution/
instead?
